Shébani

Sarah Al-Sheybani, who records as Shébani, is an Iraqi singer-songwriter based in Dubai. Emerging from the UAE's independent scene, she moved from acoustic beginnings toward a darker R&B and pop sound on the EP Alter Ego, produced with Syrian-British producer Rayan Bailouni. Her bilingual writing and unhurried release pace have made her one of the Gulf's most distinctive alternative voices — an artist building a career from the region rather than routing it through a Western capital.
