Editorial Standards and Corrections

Last updated: 2026-07-28

Ghurba Records is an independent publication. This page sets out how we work, so readers can judge our reporting and challenge it.

Sourcing

We cite our sources inline, at the point of the claim, and list them at the foot of every article. Where we cannot verify something, we say so in the piece rather than implying certainty we do not have.

We do not invent quotes, statistics, chart positions, revenue figures, release dates or biographical details. Where a number comes from a report, we name the report. Where an artist has not spoken to us, we say the piece is based on published sources rather than an original interview.

Analysis versus fact

We distinguish between what is documented and what we are arguing. Opinion pieces are labelled as such. Where we extend research from one market to another, we flag the inference instead of presenting it as a finding.

Disclosure

Ghurba Records is both a publication and a record label. Where we write about an artist connected to the label, or about a company we have a commercial relationship with, we disclose it in the article. Every article carries a disclosure line stating any affiliation, or confirming there is none.

Sponsored or partnership content, if we ever run it, will be labelled clearly and will never be presented as independent editorial.

The Creative Index

Profiles in our Creative Index are compiled from published sources. Inclusion is editorial: it is not an endorsement, and it is not paid for. Nobody can buy a profile.

If you are profiled and something is wrong, or you would like the entry amended or removed, contact corrections@ghurbarecords.com.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say that we did. Substantive corrections are noted on the article itself rather than made silently. Minor typographical fixes are made without a note.

To report an error, email corrections@ghurbarecords.com with the article title and the specific claim in question. Please include a source if you have one.

Right of reply

If we publish criticism of a named person or organisation, we will consider a response and, where fair, publish it or reflect it in the piece.

Use of AI

Editorial drafting on this site is assisted by AI tooling under human editorial direction. That does not lower the standard: sourcing, citation and factual claims are held to the rules above, and any piece that cannot meet them is not published as reported journalism.
