Submission Terms

These terms apply when you send us material through the Submit Your Work form or by email. Ticking the consent box on the form means you accept them.

What you are giving us permission to do

By submitting, you grant Ghurba Records a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review your submission, and, if we choose to cover it, to reproduce the material you sent and quote from it in our editorial coverage, on this site and on our social channels.

You keep ownership of your work. This licence does not transfer copyright, does not make us your label, publisher or manager, and does not give us rights to release, distribute or monetise your music.

What you are promising us

By submitting, you confirm that:

• The work is yours, or you have permission from everyone who owns a share of it.

• Any photographs you send are cleared for editorial use, and you can tell us who took them so we can credit correctly.

• The material does not infringe anyone’s rights and is not defamatory or unlawful.

• Any personal information about other people in your submission was shared lawfully.

What we do not promise

We do not promise to read every submission, to reply, to cover your work, or to cover it in a particular way. Submitting does not create an agreement to publish. We do not pay for submissions unless separately agreed in writing.

Editorial independence is the point of this publication: if we cover your work, the angle, the framing and any criticism are ours.

Confidentiality

Do not send us confidential material expecting it to stay confidential unless we have agreed that in writing first. Unreleased music sent for review will be treated as embargoed where you say so, and we will honour a stated release date.

Withdrawing

You can withdraw a submission before publication by emailing submissions@ghurbarecords.com. Once something is published, our Corrections Policy applies instead.

Data

How we handle the personal data in your submission is set out in our Privacy Policy. We keep submissions for up to 24 months.
