Palestinian-American producer behind records for Snoop Dogg and Xzibit — and an early bridge between US hip-hop and the Arab world.
Farid Karam Nassar, known as Fredwreck, built his name inside West Coast hip-hop's inner circle, producing for Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Westside Connection, and Tha Eastsidaz through the late 1990s and 2000s.
He then did something almost no producer at that level attempted: he took the machinery back. As host and mentor on MTV Arabia's Hip HopNa, he scouted rap talent across the region years before Arabic hip-hop had industry infrastructure, making him a foundational connector between Los Angeles and the Arab world's emerging scenes.
