Syrian singer-songwriter who relocated to Turkey as a child and became one of Arabic pop's fastest-rising Gen Z stars, setting a Guinness World Record along the way.
Born in Syria in 2002, Al Shami moved to Turkey during childhood amid the Syrian conflict and began building an audience on YouTube from 2016 onward. His breakout single "Wein" made him the youngest artist to reach number one on a Billboard Arabia chart, and he later won four trophies at the Billboard Arabia Music Awards, including Artist of the Year in the Levantine dialect category, cementing his place as one of the most closely watched young voices in contemporary Arabic pop.
